Giving

Since 1976, The Friends of Thomas Branigan Memorial Library has provided financial support for library materials, equipment, programs, activities and events.  In the last ten years, the Friends have given more than $100,000 to the library.  Some notable purchases include learning computers designed and built for children.  The Friends also sponsor the library’s summer reading programs and other special events throughout the year.

In 2016, the Friends purchased a new family friendly bench for the children’s area, KIDSPEAK a computer language program, prizes for the new library card design contest, adult crafts, a new 9 ft. Christmas tree for the Mitten Tree Drive, snacks for the summer movie program and more.

Funding for the Friends of Thomas Branigan Memorial Library comes from book sales, membership dues, bookplate memorials, donations, gifts and proceeds from Barnes & Noble fundraising book fairs.

We greatly appreciate the continued support of our members and corporate sponsors.
