Sound Sessions – Free Guitar Lessons Sponsored by the Friends

Friends Treasurer Bonnie Poloner accepts $100 from Jean Frizzell, president of the GFWC Progress Club, on behalf of the progress club.  Frizzell also donated an acoustic guitar. Library Assistant Ryan Roy will teach the guitar lessons.

The Friends of Thomas Branigan Memorial Library is sponsoring free guitar lessons for 5th – 12th graders this summer.  Ryan Roy, part-time library assistant, organized the program and will teach the lessons. So far, the Friends have purchased six guitars for teens who lack access to one.  Jean Frizzell, president of the GFWC Progress Club, donated her daughter’s acoustic guitar and a $100 check from the Progress Club to help purchase more equipment for the program.
